Unit characteristics.

Formats are selected to the position. The characteristics below are common to every unit across the estate.

Format: Sized to positionConfigurations range from single bay installations through to multi bay arrangements.
Supply: Standard mainsA standard mains supply within reach of the position is all that is required.
Connectivity: IndependentMobile connectivity is supplied with the unit and operates independently of site systems.

Environments.

Where units go, and what changes about them when they get there.

Retail

Shopping centres, retail parks and department stores. Concourse and mall positions, generally agreed with centre management rather than an individual tenant.

Leisure

Cinemas, bowling and family entertainment centres, trampoline parks and visitor attractions. Long dwell time and a settled audience, which is the strongest siting characteristic there is.

Transport

Station concourses, airport landside and interchange sites. High throughput with tight access windows and strict rules on what may stand unattended.

Hospitality

Hotels, holiday parks and serviced accommodation. Usually a lobby or corridor position, and often the point of service latest in the day.

Service is the product.

A well run position is stocked to its range, clean, available and correctly accounted for every period. Most of what this business does is holding that steady, which is unglamorous and entirely the point.

Every attendance is logged against the unit. Where a site holds several, the record covers all of them and reconciles to a single statement.
